HOW IT WORKS.
Switch: control a release.
A dead man’s switch starts with a regular check-in. Miss it, and a grace period gives you time to respond. Release requires the approvals you chose. You can also plan a release for a fixed date or require approval without a timer.
Drop: seal an encrypted package.
Encrypt files for chosen recipients. Keep a recovery bundle and an independent reader outside your Paranoid account. Digital Drop is also included with Switch. Physical Drop follows separately.
Key: control access.
Use a hardware key for daily access and a separate recovery key stored elsewhere. Paranoid Key will help you set up and test both using existing security hardware.
Verify changes yourself.
The workspace checks signed policy history against the connected network. Export the records and their proofs for independent inspection. A request being sent is not proof that it was accepted.
Keep working if we disappear.
Independent providers, including competitors, are part of the plan. They need their own copies, permission to act and funding to continue if Paranoid closes. That setup is still in development.
A missed check-in is not proof of death.
It is a condition you choose. Grace periods and required approvals help prevent an accidental release. Conflicting instructions, missing approvals or unverifiable state keep release on hold.
Designed to work with Eterna.
A key can authorize a step; a switch can control a release. Eterna can use Paranoid tools within a wider estate-recovery plan. Eterna handles the estate map, rehearsals and guided recovery. This integration is planned.
Separate account access from control.
Your account opens the workspace. Policy keys authorize check-ins and changes. Signing in cannot authorize a release. New customer activations remain closed while the production network is being qualified.
